Dear Parents and Guardians,
As we enter April, here are a few important reminders / updates...
Taft- Galloways' motto for the remainder of the year is to "Finish- Strong!" Parents, we need you to help support this initiative. Here are some ways to encourage your child to "Finish Strong:"
1. Ask your child if they are giving their best effort.
2. Encourage you child to do their homework nightly.
3. Explain the importance of doing their best on assignments and assessments.
4. Help your child stay organized.
5. Teach your child how to be independent in their actions and thoughts.
6. Recognize and celebrate achievements by giving verbal praise for successful progress or accomplishments.
7. Develop an atmosphere of reading.
- Read to your child frequently.
- Have your child read aloud.

Taft-Galloway brings 300 people to the Pistons Game!
Taft- Galloway was able to raise almost $5,000 to purchase Detroit Pistons Tickets and sponsor 300 of our students and parents to attend the Pistons game on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. With the donations, we were able to not only purchase tickets for students and their family members, we were able to purchase concessions for the students as well.
Our school’s basketball and cheerleading teams were invited to stand with the Pistons for the National Anthem. Our staff, students, and families had an amazing time.
Taft would like to thank Mr. Stacey for doing an amazing job reaching out to the Piston's Organization and to help develop an ongoing partnership. Taft would also like to thank Mrs. Moline for securing the most donations and riding the bus with the families to and from the Pistons game. Here are some pictures of the outstanding time we all had together at the game.....
