It is time to refresh school supplies. Glue sticks, Kleenex and headphones are in high demand this time of year. Please check with your child to see what supplies they need.

ELAR- We will describe how the author's use of imagery, literal and figurative language such as simile and metaphor, and sound devices such as alliteration and assonance achieves specific purposes (4.10D) *Quiz over Owl Moon on Friday 12/1

Math- We will relate decimals to fractions that name tenths and hundredths; Use benchmark fractions to verify the reasonableness of sums and/or differences of fractions with like denominators referring to the same whole. (4.2G)

We will compare fractions with different numerators and different denominators using various methods (4.3D)

Science- We will Identify and classify Earth's renewable resources, including air, plants, water and animals, and nonrenewable resources including coal, oil, and natural gas, and the importance of conservation (4.7C)

Social Studies- We will identify and explain patterns of settlement such as the location of towns and cities in Texas at different time periods (4.7B)

Our 4th grade field trip will be in May. We are starting to organize our trip to the Perot Museum. If you have a School Cash account set up, you should receive an email about the field trip. The field trip will cost $8 per student, payable in School Cash. We will send home more information in the Spring.
