It was so much fun to see such a diverse group of swimmers from age 20 to 80 competing, cheering, and having a blast! We were especially proud of our swimmers for experiencing their first swim meet ever: Melissa and Brenda and some that were first time Masters meet participants: Alex, AnnLee, Haley, Robert, Heather, Mary Catherine, Julianne, Kelly, and Claire!

Upstate Splash Charity

Judi Rich is our swimmer of the month! She participated in the January Jam and jammed in 100,000 yards this month. This swim is an annual event for Dynoswim. The funds raised are to support the Dave Parcells MS fund and St. Vincent's Medical Center Foundation. This swim is especially important to Judi as she swam all month to honor and remember her sister who passed away from multiple sclerosis. Judi moved to Greenville last summer with her husband and son. She loves Masters swimming and was thrilled to find Greenville Splash. Judi dove right in and has participated in workouts at every pool around town. Judi had a fantastic swim meet at the Charlotte meet and was a true team player. She has already volunteered many hours to help Greenville Splash grow by her fabulous use of creativity and graphics. She also started an Instagram page for us! Judi your swimming has inspired us all and brought awareness of MS. Greenville Splash loves you and your sister Cathy. Thank you for your dedication and support.

We will be placing an order for customized silicone team caps. The cost is $25 for two. You have to order two with the same printing. Orders due by Feb. 17. Speedo USMS 1-Hour ePostal National Championship at Westside Aquatic Complex

7:00-9:30 am. Test your skills against yourself or compare to others in your age group all around the country. See how far you can swim in one hour. Plan to swim one hour and count for an hour. Cost is free to members. $10 for nonmembers.

Daily rate is $8 at Westside.

We only have a few spots left so RSVP to Leslie to participate.

Adult Learn to Swim Month.

Free lessons to interested adults April 5th, 12th, 19th, 26h and May 3rd and 10th at Westside. We are looking for swimmers that want to volunteer to teach. Let Leslie know if you are interested.

YMCA Masters Nationals Sarasota, Fl. Let Leslie know if you are thinking about going. We are in the process of planning transportation and lodging.

Coached morning workouts are back on Tuesdays and Thursdays

Middle Tyger New Schedule:

MW 5:30 - 7:00 am and TuTh 7-8 pm

Lindsey is a new coach at Westside. She coaches the age group swimmers at Team Greenville and now has joined Greenville Splash. She was a division I collegiate swimmer at the University of Illinois. She was a top ten record holder and likes freestyle and butterfly. She enjoys distance freestyle, loves open water and has competed in a 25K ultra-swim. Lindsey also plans to swim with us. She recently moved here with her husband from Kansas.

Our coaches want you to have swim equipment, especially fins! Go to our team store to see what we recommend and help support our team. We are also planning to use tempo trainers in workouts starting soon.
