The Lombard Rotary is hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament at Glenbard East on Saturday, June 2nd. More info at www.lombardrotary.org.

The money raised goes towards our Rotary Scholarships awarded each year to high school seniors from Lombard.

In April, our Star Constellations groups focused on "Paying it Forward." We challenged students to keep up their random act of kindness. We will have one final Star Constellations meeting that will serve as our Star Constellations Finale for this school year. Our activities will include a special project for our Grade 5 leaders who will leaving our groups at the end of this year.

Thanks to Ms. Iyer, a committed WHS Parent, WHS has partnered with Waste Management to reduce our lunch and classroom waste. Mrs. Giancana's environmentalists presented how composting works to each of our classrooms and even to the principal! The success of this month long pilot program will determine the future partnership we have with Waste Management.

The race is now over and it couldn't of happened without all the amazing volunteers. We had a great turnout and hopefully all the student and family participants had a great time. With this being the first time we have ever been apart of something like this, we want to learn from the experience and continually improve!
