The Friday Flyer
From Boone Meadow Elementary School
From the Eagles' Nest
As our school continues to grow, your assistance to enrich and support engaging programming at BME is tremendously appreciated. On September 28th (this coming Wednesday), Boone Meadow students and staff will participate in our annual PTO sponsored Jog-A-Thon fundraiser (raindate: Friday, September 30th). The Jog-A-Thon will take place on a quarter mile course located on the softball field, directly behind the school. All funds raised through the JAT go directly to students in the form of programming support with technology, creative resources, projects, field trip experiences, and a sundry of other opportunities.
The Kindergarten and 1st grade students will participate during the morning session, (9:30am – 10:30am). Preschool students will have their "Trike-a-thon" from 10:00- 10:45 (Kirby) and 11:00-11:50 (Tutilla) in the gymnasium. The afternoon session will be from 1:45pm – 3:00pm for the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade students.
All students will receive a FREE Jog-A-Thon t-shirt to be worn on the day of the event, which is provided by the generous contributions of our event sponsors. Parents who would like to volunteer or donate supplies can sign up via iVolunteer.
We are striving for 100% participation. Any donation, no matter how large or small is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your support of this incredibly important Boone Meadow event.
Have a fantastic weekend.
Tom

School Visitor Check-Ins at ZCS
Please be aware that we use a visitor management system known as SafeVisitor. SafeVisitor is a 30-45 second check-in process that cross references against all national sex offender registries and prints a visitor badge. Please be prepared to scan a government issued ID (Driver License) when arriving to campus as a visitor or volunteer. The printed badge should be visible at all times while in the building. Thank you!
Please note: Full background checks are still required field trips. Full background checks cost $15.95 and take at least 7-10 days to process. Limited background checks are still required for lunch visits, volunteering in a supervised area, etc.
**Bullying Video**
All volunteers in our district are also required to complete the bullying module, consisting of a short video and a digital signature as proof of watching the video. This video must be watched for either level of volunteer (Full or Limited). Please click here to visit the BRAVO/Volunteers page where all of these items can be completed.

The program will ask for optional personal information that could be used in the event of an emergency situation in your home. Boone County citizens are encouraged to create their Safety Profile with Smart911 today. To create a safety profile and sign up for updates, go to www.smart911.com
