Comin' Down the Mountain
Maybe I'm the only one.
Maybe, I was the only one who experienced a particularly hard week leading up to Man Camp weekend. Maybe, just maybe, I was the only one during the days leading up to Man Camp weekend, who looked at his wife and said, "I don't want to go to Man Camp!"
Maybe I was the only one to get into a tense discussion with my spouse in the hours before departing for camp.
I wonder if I'm the only one who had a particularly trying week following Man Camp weekend.
In my years of attending Man Camp, it never fails. We trudge into the hills and have a moment with God. We bond. We realign ourselves with Jesus. It's awesome.
Then we come home ... and the World is waiting.
Maybe I'm the only one.
Maybe the enemy did not want me to go to Man Camp last weekend. Maybe I'm the only one he tried to distract. Maybe I'm the only one he tried to detour away from an event that he was not invited to. Maybe, when he couldn't successfully distract me from going, he waited for my return and tried to cloud my mind of the things Pastor Cliff taught us.
Maybe I'm the only one that needs his Circle of 5 more than ever.
Maybe.
