Weekly Wildcat
August 18, 2023
Hello Sundance Families!
We had an amazing first week back at Sundance! Our Wildcats engaged in community building activities, met new friends, and learned our school routines. We ended the week with a Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) assembly, and learned about our hallway, assembly, and playground rules. I also loved visiting all classrooms throughout the week to share Oddbird, a beautiful read aloud about belonging. A huge thank you to our Foundation/PAC for organizing a staff lunch on Tuesday and coffee and snacks throughout the week for our team.
Next week, we are introducing our Wildcats to the Engineering Design Process through their first STEM lesson of the year! Follow us on Instagram to see the learning in action (#SundanceElementary). If you do not want your child featured on our private social media account, please email me at rkatz@powayusd.com. We are excited to welcome Angie Serrano back to Sundance! She is partially funded by your wonderful donations, and will begin teaching music next week.

Drop off:
- All adults must remain in the car when using the drop-off lane
- The lane along the curb is for drop off only; if your child needs assistance getting out of the car, please park in a spot and walk your child to the gate.
- When using the drop-off lane, pull all the way forward to the end of the red zone/crosswalk in front of our school; the lane to the left is a passing lane
- Use the crosswalks when crossing the street
- Do not park in the drop-off lanes (this is happening near ESS)
