MUSTANG SPIRIT DAY WILL BE THE 1ST FRIDAY OF EVERY MONTH!

American Education Week is an opportunity to visit your child’s classroom and watch your children in action as they learn something new, participate in a curricular activity, or give a special presentation for visitors. This year, Central Bucks School District invites you to join us the week of November 13-17, 2023.

We invite you to come and join us, remembering that cell phone use while in the school is not permitted, and that this is an “adults only” visit as small children may disrupt instruction during this time.

The chart below provides the designated time to come and visit so that we may concentrate efforts, and accommodate parking, traffic flow, etc. Please RSVP at this link by Friday, Nov. 10th, so that we may plan accordingly for your arrival.

All absences must be entered through the Parent Portal.

Student dismissal begins promptly at 3:15PM.

If you would like to pick up your son/daughter early for an appointment, please pick up your child before 2:45PM. After 2:45PM, your child will be asked to wait with the other walkers, bus and car riders in his/her classroom, to ensure a safe and efficient dismissal for everyone.

To volunteer at a class party or chaperone a field trip, your clearances must be up-to-date.

If your clearances are current, upload them into the App Garden - Volunteer Tracker. If your clearances have expired, or you need to begin the clearance process, click on the Required Documents for the directions. Picture re-takes are tomorrow. If you wish to have a re-take, please send your child to school with their original photo packet. They will turn that in, and have a new photo taken.

This year we will once again extend the spirit of giving for the Thanksgiving holiday. Given the continuing economic conditions, many CB families find themselves in need of assistance. Therefore, Gayman will be collecting money that will be used to purchase grocery store gift cards to be used towards the Thanksgiving holiday. Contributions will be collected now through Thursday, November 16th. Please send your donation to the front office in an envelope marked “Thanksgiving Donations.”

To honor the men and women who have served, we are creating a Wall of Heroes! Please feel free to choose one template, add a photo or draw a picture, and then, send it in with your child to the Gayman Main Office. Your family member/friend will be honored on our Wall of Heroes!

These posters will be hanging in the main hallway of Gayman for the month of November.

We invite our community to share the names of their military friends and family. For every name shared, a flag will be placed on the Gayman lawn to honor that individual. Thank you!

The Gayman Players' spring musical is one of our school's most beloved traditions. While the last few years have been anything but predictable, historically the show has been an every-other-year occasion, due to the tremendous effort it requires, in terms of time, energy and logistical planning on the part of teachers, parents and students. While there will not be a musical this school year, we're already planning for the 2024-2025 musical and can't wait to get started on it next November. In the meantime, because we know we have so many creative Mustangs in the building, we are planning a talent show for this spring, as well as exploring the possibility of having a drama club or a similar performance-related opportunity for students interested in honing their stage skills. Watch this space for more information!
