SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH
School Board Starts Superintendent Search
The 2023-24 school year is underway for the Ozark School District, and following an August special Board of Education meeting, a search for a new superintendent is underway as well. The Board voted to contract the Missouri School Boards’ Association to facilitate the District’s superintendent search. The goal is to conduct formal interviews with finalists before Christmas break.
The firm is starting the process by opening a stakeholder survey to gather feedback to see what qualifications the community wants to see in a superintendent.

Ozark Receives State Innovation Waiver for MAP Testing
Ozark School District is one of 20 public schools across the state to be granted an Innovation Waiver by the Missouri State Board of Education. Although students may continue to take the MAP (Missouri Assessment Program) tests over the next three years, the waiver allows Ozark to break away from the traditional accountability for MAP.

BUILDING HIGHLIGHTS
Once Upon A Time
We absolutely love seeing our School Police in the buildings interacting with students! This photo of Dep. Hoerning was taken in a third grade classroom at South Elementary.
Are You Ready for Some Football?
Ozark football players greeted elementary students on Thursday with high fives and fist bumps, inspring the littles along the way!
FYI, football games are live-streamed at http://www.ozarkmotigers.org/broadcasts
OJH Team Day
Ozark Junior High students had a break from classwork and spent time having fun in the sun today as they participated in the school's inaugural Team Day.
Students are divided into grade levels teams named after a continent. They spent the day with their teams doing indoor and outdoor team building exercises with the help of OHS JROTC and FFA students. The activities included tug-of-war, board walking, barrel racing (with stick horses), cornhole and many other fun, team-orientated games. Students also tie-dyed t-shirts to wear when they have a spirit assembly.
What a fun day!
Have a Great Day!
Everyone can use a hug in the morning, and we absolutely love how Related Arts teacher at Tiger Paw, Dana Friend, greets each student with a hug or a fistbump, along with a big smile and encouraging words every morning. The students love it too!
