Welcome to a New Week!

Hey Wildcats,


The past month has been the quickest and most challenging for me thus far- no one put that in the principal handbook! The number of things occurring in and outside the building is numerous. Some of these things have been in place long before I joined GIS, and I'm just learning about them, which has been a steep learning curve. I appreciate your patience and willingness to reach out when things feel bumpy. I like when things run effectively and efficiently, and learning from these past few weeks will only benefit my ability to support our students, staff, and you. So, truly, and sincerely, thank you for your patience with me.


We have our big CIUUSD Art and Music Night at GIS on Friday. Band students, if your family has signed up to eat at the community dinner, please plan to eat at the earlier serving time. (Also, Ms. Gibbons has requested you wear dark-colored pants and a white shirt, or a dark-colored skirt, or something "springy."


Our celebration of 6th graders is on June 15th, the time is TBD this week, and our last day of school is June 16th.

Hannaford's Helps Schools Program

The 2023 program will run from March 12 through May 27.
