The Math Team participated in the Floyd County Mathematics Invitational on Saturday in Rome. The JV team, represented by Elissa Anderson, Milene Babkina, Harley Gipson, and Sophia Zakirova, placed second in the JV division! The Varsity team of Precious Babajide, Prakash Gupta, Matilda Rodgers, and Delano Page placed second in the Varsity division. The secondary Varsity team of Ethan Collinsworth, Ian Morgan, and Joel Samuels narrowly missed a trophy-winning placement. Please congratulate these students!

RCPS High School students have the opportunity to earn the ability to exempt a semester exam in one or more of their classes. Please review the important information below with your student ahead of First Semester 9th-12th grade final exams scheduled for December 20-22nd. Extended Tutorial is offered on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week this semester. Students can stay after school for ANY teacher's office hours, clubs, and/or teams and then report to the extended tutorial. Students must be picked up by 6pm on extended tutorial days. This allows families a later window for transportation while allowing students access to extracurriculars and office hours.

See below for this week's extended tutorial teachers and/or counselors. Keep in mind that even if the teacher/subject you need is not listed, any of the adults can help you make a tutor.com appointment or give you general direction on making the most of your study time.

Below is the Before and After School weekly schedule for Magnet tutorials, office hours, clubs, and teams. It is designed as an overview to help you get involved and find support at Magnet.

We invite all 9th-12th graders and Staff to participate in our RMSST Reads initiative. The English Language Arts PLC Team has set the goal for RMSST to read 4,000+ books by April. These can be texts read for class or independently selected in your leisure time. All you have to do for credit is submit the easy form at https://forms.office.com/r/09vyTDRLd8.

• First class to 1,000 earns a popsicle dance party.
• Class with largest number of books read by April wins prize.

Who is in the lead this week

• 10th grade has surged ahead but there is time for the other grades to catch up!
• Faculty & Staff are in the lead overall

We will continue tracking progress on the bulletin board by the breezeway exit to the Square.
