BJH Bobcat News
November 6- November 10, 2023
Principal's Message
Dear Bobcat Families,
This Monday, November 6th, students and staff will participate in a Lockdown Drill. This is a drill to practice should we have an actual threat on our campus. Teachers will take a few minutes to review the purpose and expectations with students prior to the start of the drill. During the lockdown drill there will be instruction or any other school business occurring at this time in order to have a realistic practice drill. Students and staff should remain completely quiet as if it were a real lock down. Once the lock down is announced doors will not be opened for any reason! The administrative team in conjunction with our campus security will conduct a sweep of all rooms on campus. After all rooms on respective routes are cleared, an administrator will announce the end of the drill. Regular duties and school business will resume once the drill has come to an end.
The Scholastic Fall Book Fair ends on Wednesday, November 8th. Please click HERE for more details. The book fair takes place in the school library. It will be open before school, during lunch, during snack and after school.
In other news, thank you to all parents who are helping our students be good neighbors to local businesses during drop off and pick up each day. BJH would like to remind you that CVS is not an official pick up location nor is any other local, nearby business. Should you chose to pick your student up at a location other than school property please remind your students to be respectful while waiting for pick up.
The month of November is Native American Heritage Month. All month our ASB students will highlight different Native Americans on the bulletin board on University Drive. In addition, Native Americans will be highlighted during morning announcements and on Google Drive. Join us as we celebrate the rich heritage and contributions of Native Americans.
This Friday there is no school in observance of Veteran's Day. Thank you to all veterans for your sacrifice so that we can be free. Veteran's day is an opportunity to honor American Veterans for their patriotism, love of our country and their willingness to serve selflessly and make the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Lastly, congratulations to our Students of the Month. The focus for October was Work Ethic. Click HERE to see the list of students.
