Norup Principal Weekly Newsletter
March 12, 2023
Our 5th graders went to camp last week and did a marvelous job there; the vast majority exceeding our expectations for their conduct and behavior. It sounds like they had a great experience and really the reduced length of time seems very appropriate and beneficial for the overall experience.
Friday's cancellation wiped out three events. The 6th grade field trip will now happen after spring break. We will also work on a date/time for BHS counselors to potentially come over and meet with 8th grade students about scheduling, and the volleyball vs. staff game may or may not happen with the very crowded calendar coming up.
Over the weekend, I attended Off to the Races on Saturday and went out with some friends for dinner at Howe's Bayou in Ferndale, a favorite of mine from when I used to live in Ferndale. Otherwise it was a very low key restful weekend with a lot of sleep. Another Arsenal win from both the mens and womens teams was the true highlight!
This week is highlighted by parent teacher conferences. If you have not signed up yet, you have until Wednesday at 5 PM before signups close. You can find the link to do so in the Important Links and Flyers section. Zoom/Google Meet links will be sent out Wednesday night before conferences.
Have a great week everyone!
