The Eagle Eye
Children are the heart of Imlay!
Dear Imlay Families,
From Principal McCalley
Dear Imlay Families,
This week is Teacher Appreciation Week! After the year we have had, I so appreciate all the reaching out you have done to let your teacher know they rock! Our PTA is providing a fun-filled week for teachers! I know they would love a note, text or email from you sharing your support.
In 3-6th grade, teachers were given the opportunity to invite to a few students to attend school 4 days a week in person. While we know everyone would enjoy and benefit from this, with current distancing restrictions, etc., we are unable to fit all students. Each grade level created a set of criteria for which they compared all students. Students who met all the criteria were invited to attend 4 days a week. We wish we could fit all students and still meet COVID restrictions as set out by RSSL from ODE.
With seven weeks left in this school year, we are working diligently to increase learning opportunities for all students! Classrooms are focusing on reading, writing and math priority standards in order to provide additional learning opportunities for all students. Please help us by having your child at school (either in person or in CDL) every day!
Imlay Elementary is currently designing a limited summer school opportunity for students. Please be watching for more information in the next few weeks!
Yours in Eagle Pride,
Jen McCalley
