FFA Celebrations
We are so proud of our forestry and crops team which competed on 12/9 at the state contests at Purdue! Whitney Smith placed as FIRST SENIOR FORESTRY INDIVIDUAL- making history as our first member to win a state CDE! The junior team consisted of Wyatt Theissen, Maggie Keers, Hank Myers, and Emily Scellin- came in THIRD Place! The highest ranking a team has earned at a state CDE! Maggie also placed as third individual and Wyatt as 6th! We also had two crops team participate, and we ended up with 10th place team overall. Ethan Tames, Zach Benter, Molly Goff, Will Thompson, Josie Sharp, Byron Burdge, Lillianna Sullivan, and Evan Fishel.
Our welding team recently competed in the District VIII FFA welding competition. It turned out to be a great day!

Thank you to our school corporation for providing the new welding department with all of the tools we needed to be successful! Now on to the state contest!
On Saturday 12/16 our FFA Chapter assisted the DAR in putting out the wreaths across America in the center valley cemetery! It was an honorable event and our members showed a lot of respect and kindness to the community by assisting families with placing wreaths and picking up flags.

Post Prom Fundraiser

Winter Break
Cascade High School will be closed for Winter Break December 22-January 5. We look forward to welcoming back the students on Monday, January 8th for the first day of second semester. Students will be able to find their 1st period teacher posted in the hallway as they enter the building that morning. They will receive their second semester schedule in their 1st period class. We hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Professional Development Day
Our teachers will be participating in professional development activities on Friday, January 12th. There will be no school for students on Friday, January 12th.
Martin Luther King Day
School will be closed on Monday, January 15th in observance of Martin Luther King Day.
Winter Sports
The winter athletic season is in full swing. We wish our student-athletes the best of luck as they begin IHSAA tournament competition beginning at the end of January and into February.
Lilly Scholarship
Congratulations to Cascade High School senior Haydan Gabbard, who recently was announced as a winner of the Lilly Scholarship through the Hendricks County Community Foundation. Haydan will be awarded full tuition and fees to an Indiana College of her choice. We are very proud of Haydan for winning this very competitive and prestigious scholarship!
