Thursday morning's Power Hour was a blast, as HHS showered senior Brickie diver, Ethan Robles, with a send-off parade ahead of his big State Finals adventure! Huge shout-out to the HHS Athletic Department, Marching Band, and our cheer squad for turning up the celebration for this awesome Brickie! Ethan, we are so excited for you and know that you will represent SCOH well! We're beaming with pride and cheering you on! Way to Be Excellent on Purpose! BRICKIE UP!

What is Innovate WithIN?
Innovate WithIN is a business pitch competition that teaches students to view the world through a lens of entrepreneurship and innovation. It is free and available to all Indiana high school students - offering everything from scholarships to seed funding, all accompanied by a detailed course that will help students come up with winning ideas and create a well thought out pitch. Innovate WithIN is available for both individual and classroom use.

Meet HHS Senior, Ben Eberle, the creator of Innovate WithIN finalist, Tow Scout. Tow Scout has designed a portable rearview mirror to support watercraft safety. The device can be easily attached to boats, kayaks, or other watercraft, providing a clear view of the surrounding area to ensure safe navigation.
StartUp Madness! Society of Innovators is hosting the Uthiverse pitch competition!
32 Innovators. $2,500 in Prize Money!
The Society of Innovators at Purdue Northwest will host the inaugural Uthiverse StartUp Madness Business Pitch Tournament during a live event in the Fitness and Recreation Center Gym at the PNW Hammond campus on Saturday, March 30 from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
StartUp Madness is an innovative, pitch competition designed to give high school students participating in a diversity of entrepreneurship programs an opportunity to win $2500 in seed money. This seed funding can be used to improve their business idea, develop a prototype, create a minimum viable product (MVP), implement a marketing strategy, or fund some other activity that helps them launch their venture.
Thirty-two teams will be selected from regional applicants to compete live in the bracket-style pitch tournament for a chance to win $2,500 in seed money for their business.

Free Homework Hotline and Video chat for students in grades six through 12 covering math and science is provided by Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology. Rose-Hulman has provided this service for more than a decade and asks that the link and homework hotline be shared with math and science departments, students, and parents. Tall Cop Says Stop™ is a website dedicated to education and resources for the detection and prevention of substance abuse to help keep young people, families and communities safe. Officer Galloway has been educating and fighting drug and alcohol abuse for over 20 years! He is a highly respected and internationally recognized instructor on trends in drug/alcohol culture and enforcement methods.
Officer Galloway’s motto is, You can’t stop what you don’t know™. He has worked with parents, educators, city leaders and many others to understand and reduce the harm caused by drinking and drugs in their communities.
