New Staff Welcome Guide

As you know, Canvas is our districtwide Learning Management System for TK-12th grade students and families. If your Canvas page is still in progress, please ensure it is set up in the weekly module format.

Please keep in mind that these are contracted work hours for all staff. In order to have the most meaningful collaboration, your presence is needed. If you will be missing Friday collaboration time, staff will need to use the appropriate leave (medical, sick, personal necessity, personal business, etc...). The two exceptions:

• PUSD Board approved coaches for that season when attending a scheduled competition
• Independent planning time, with the approval of your Principal

   Boosting 3rd-grade reading proficiency by 5% every year.

2. Here, Every Day
   Reducing chronic absences by 5% each year to keep students in the classroom.

3. Rising Stars
   Improving CAASPP scores by 5% annually in Meeting/Exceeding Standards.

4. College Ready, Career Bound
   Increasing A-G completion rates by 5% yearly to prepare students for their futures.

5. On the Right Track
   Growing the percentage of students earning C's or better in core classes by 5% every year.
