As we begin the second semester, I would like to extend a warm welcome back to all our students, staff, and parents.

I am excited to see our students return to the classrooms and continue their academic journey. I am confident that our teachers and staff will continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for our students to learn and grow.

This semester, we have many exciting events and activities planned for our students and I encourage all our students to participate and be involved with our school community.

I would also like to remind our students and parents to check Q Connect regularly to stay up to date on academic progress, attendance, and behavior. In addition, please read the weekly Cougar Tracks newsletter that is sent every Friday evening at 5:00pm, for updates on school events, schedules, and other important information.

Congratulations to the 1,138 students (56% of our student population) who earned a 3.00 weighted GPA for semester 1. These students have qualified for Semester 1 Honor Roll. Names will be posted next week and certificates are currently being produced and will be distributed to students through their Language Arts class once we receive them.

California State Deadlines:

• For most state financial aid programs, submit applications no later than March 2, 2023 (date postmarked).
• Cal Grant requires submission of a school-certified GPA by March 2, 2023. For additional community college Cal Grants, apply by Sept. 2, 2023 (date postmarked).

CNUSD invites families to complete an application for Free and Reduced Price Meals!

The information you give will be used to determine or prove your child's eligibility for free or reduced-priced meals. This information may also be used for other state or federally funded school benefits.

Our PTSA is raising money to give back to the students and school, to fund senior scholarships along with other purchases that will benefit ALL NHS Students.

The bricks will be placed in the concrete sidewalk in front of the Administration Building.

Once your form is received, we will contact you to confirm your order.

The bricks are 4” x 8” and can have up to three lines of text. (Price $40) OR you can have a cougar and two lines of text. (Price $50)
