Spring Term - 18th January 2024
Message from the Executive Headteacher
Dear Parents/Carers
It's wonderful to be fully back in the swing of things at school after the break which seems so long ago now. I can see the children are enthusiastic and committed to their learning and it's a pleasure visiting the classes around school.
I would like to formally welcome Miss Kelsey Farrell who is teaching mainly in year 6 as well as across the rest of the school throughout the week. Rachel Shaw has also joined us this week and will be supporting children in Y5.
As you know we are passionate believers in helping children to develop their love of reading. We are excited to host Benjamin Dean next week who will be speaking to year 5 and 6 pupils and children are still able to enter the extreme reading challenge which is always such fun with children being ingenious and creative.
The FOHJS have released all the tickets now for the glow disco. I hope you have your tickets. Thank you to the organisers and all the volunteers who will be working to ensure the children have a fantastic time.
The weather has now turned seasonally cold so please ensure the children have appropriate coats, hats and gloves in school as the playground can be very cold. Please ensure it's all named as it makes it easier to reunite items.
Have a great weekend when it arrives.
Ms H Lockey
