Note from Ms. Johnson 🐯
Westwood Community,
As we are still in the grips of our Michigan winter season, we want to remind everyone of the importance of regular school attendance and maintaining health during this time. Winter often brings about colds, flu, and other illnesses, but with a little extra care, we can stay healthy and keep our students engaged in their learning.
Here are a few tips to help keep everyone healthy:
- Get Plenty of Rest: A good night’s sleep helps students stay focused and ready for school each day.
- Wash Hands Often: Encourage frequent handwashing to prevent the spread of germs.
- Stay Warm and Dress in Layers: Make sure students wear warm clothes and coats when outside.
- Stay Hydrated and Eat Healthy Foods: Drinking water and eating nutritious meals can help keep energy levels up.
- Monitor Symptoms: If your child isn’t feeling well, please keep them home to rest and prevent spreading illness to others.
Regular school attendance is crucial for academic success. When students are present, they get the most out of their lessons and activities. If your child needs to stay home due to illness, please notify the school, and we’ll work with you to ensure they catch up on missed work.
Thank you for your support in helping our students stay healthy and succeed in their learning!
Sincerely,
Ms. Johnson :)
