Happy New Year!
We know this has been a rough calendar year but THANK YOU for your resilience and determination. There is no way we could have made it without you and your continued support. Even through a pandemic and a freeze for the ages, we have continued to raise the bar. The positive transformation that has led us to become a P-TECH high school has been because of you, the staff. Again, words, cannot express the gratitude we have for each of you. We do ask that you continue on what we have established as a campus and please do not let up. Let's continue to MODEL, INSPIRE, CONNECT, and ACHIEVE.
As we look ahead in 2022, the goal(s) should always be to improve, no matter what. Whether it be personal goals, department goals, or campus goals... let us strive for the pursuit of excellence. Please do not settle for average because our students deserve our very best. We must never forget that we are here for students. That being said, we must ensure two basic non-negotiables in every classroom...
- A safe-learning environment.
- High-quality instruction.
In case you didn't know... "teachers are the most important factor in the success of every child". Folks, you have that power and even though it might seem like a daunting task, the investment that you make will impact generations. Please digest that for a minute or two. What you do in your classrooms will not only change a life but generations to follow. I wish the world would see what I see on a daily basis at Rio Hondo HS P-Tech and the amazing things that are happening in our classrooms. I can't wait to start this new year and start visiting classrooms. There is no doubt that 2022 will be another banner year!
