We want to minimize the spread of colds and the flu as much as possible. Please keep your child home with they are sick.

Do not send them to school if they have:

  • A fever at 100.0 degrees or higher (Child must be fever-free for 24 hours without any fever-reducing medication)
  • Thrown up or had diarrhea in the last 24 hours
  • A rash until the cause is known and for as long as it is contagious
  • Questionable or undiagnosed “Pink eye” – until the doctor permits attendance
  • Other untreated illnesses such as head lice, parasites, strept throat etc.

Note: If your child has a communicable illness such as the strept throat, pink eye, head lice, influenza, or fifth’s disease, we ask that you report it to the school office. lincolnoffice@pella.k12.ia.us

Sorry, No Pets at Pick Up

Parents, we love pets here at Lincoln, however we need to ask that you no longer bring your pets when you pick up your child from school. We have had a couple of safety concerns come up due to pets at pick up. Please do not bring your pets to the group of students waiting for pick up after school. If you have any questions, please contact the school office. lincolnoffice@pella.k12.ia.us

Recess Gear - It's Getting Cold Outside!

The weather has changed! We will require your child to have a coat, hat and gloves anytime the feels like temperature is below 32 degrees. We want all children to be safe while outside. Please send the following with your child each day.

  • Coat
  • Gloves
  • Hat
  • Rain or Winter Boots

Please know that if money is short and you need help with winter weather gear, please stop by and see Sheri or Mr. Schulte in the office. We have donations made each year to help supply those things for students. We would be happy to get winter items for your child. We just need to know sizes for items needed.
