The nomination link below will provide a basic description of each position but on our board job titles will cross as we work as a group throughout the year to brainstorm, plan and execute events.
To express your interest, please fill out the google link below with a brief description of why you would like to be a part of our Disney Elementary PTO Board. All applications must be submitted by February 14th to prepare the ballot for our February PTO Meeting. Elections will occur from February 21st through March 8th. The new board positions will be announced at our March PTO meeting.
5th & 6th Grade Band Concert
Last Thursday our 5th & 6th grade band students had their first full concert of the year. The concert featured 5th & 6th-grade students from cross the district and attendees also were able to enjoy the FHS Flute Choir, Percussion & Saxophone Ensembles. Our Disney band students worked very hard for this concert and they sounded great! It was a wonderful evening and we look forward to their next concert to hear how they have grown.
2nd Grade Learns About Communities
Second grade has been working very hard in their most recent social studies unit. They learned about the differences between urban city, rural country, and suburban areas. Students then had to identify what responsibilities they have for themselves, their family, their school, and their city. We completed over 20 close and critical readings that taught us all about the jobs that help our community. Finally, each student chose a job they would like to have. They wrote about what they needed to be successful in that position and why they chose it. They also drew their uniforms with a picture of their face! This project was great fun and taught us a lot!!
Extra Clothes
Our students love playing outside and recess. Our playground is often muddy and students often come in from recess with wet and/or muddy clothes. Please make sure to have an extra set of clothes in your child's backpack in case of an accident throughout the school day. This will help prevent a call home for a change of clothes. Thank you!
Red Flag
When the red flag is hung outside our front doors, this means indoor line-up. Instead of lining up outside, our students can enter the building at 8:20.
Please do not drop your students off at the front of the building bus loop. This area is for exiting traffic, busses, and emergency vehicles only. The student drop-off zone is the same area as our pick-up zone. When dropping off, please stay to the right and have students exit the passenger door; thru traffic will utilize the left lane. Students should go to the back of the building where will will have the door open for students to enter. If your child needs assistance, please park and walk your student to the front door.
January is School Board Appreciation Month
January marks the observance of School Board Recognition Month. This is an opportunity to show our year-round appreciation for these servant leaders and begin to better understand how local trustees work together to prepare today’s students to be tomorrow’s leaders.
On behalf of everyone in Fraser Public Schools, thank you to Mr. Scott Wallace, Mr. Todd Koch, Mrs. Robyn Norbeck, Mr. Dan Stawinski, Ms. Abigail Wasil, Dr. Kathleen Moco, and Mrs. Rebecca Jensen.

Canvas- Parent Access
All Fraser classroom teachers provide instruction, resources, activities, and assessments to students utilizing the Canvas LMS. As a result, students have continuous access to the course materials and information regarding their achievement.
Parents/Guardians can also have continuous access to their student’s course materials and grades in Canvas by creating a parent/observer account. In addition, parents of multiple students can easily switch between their students to view grades and assignments within the same parent account. All sign up information and resources are provided on the Fraser website.
Important reminders when using Canvas:
- Canvas works best in Chrome
- Please do not install the Canvas app (for parents or students). We are not supporting it as our staff and students are utilizing the web-based version of Canvas and it looks and works differently.
- If you signed up and paired with your students last year, you still have access to those students and their new courses this year.
- If you need to add more students to your account this year, please follow the directions provided below.
- If you have forgotten your password, you can use the Forgot Password? link on the parent sign in page. Then, enter the email address you used to set up the account to receive a password reset email.
- If you have forgotten the email you used, please reach out to Kim Keith, Kimberly.keith@fraserk12.org, for additional assistance.
Parking Lot Reminders
We all know that the Disney parking lot is challenging at times, especially during the winter months. We understand that our dismissal can be stressful and intense with the high volume of car pickup students. From time to time it is important to review our procedures. If we all follow our parking lot procedures and practice patience, we will be able to quickly exit everyone safely
- Please stay all the way to the right in the pick-up line to allow others to enter the parking lot and thru traffic to pass
- Please refrain from parking anywhere other than designated parking spaces, this includes, parking in handicapped parking spots unless your handicap parking pass is properly displayed
- Please be distraction free - refrain from using cell phones, loud music, or other distracting activities. Pay attention and be on the lookout for people walking through the lots
- Please do not pull through the parking spaces to exit. Those parking should back out of parking spaces and utilize the thru traffic line to exit the parking lot.
- Please turn right on Kelly when exiting the parking lot for safety and to help assist with traffic flow.
- The driveway in the front of the school is for bus parking, emergency vehicles, and exiting traffic only. Please do not park or drop-off/pick-up students in the bus loop. Families may not park on Kelly and walk through the bus driveway at dismissal.
- Smoking and pets are not permitted on school grounds. Please leave your pets at home for the safety and comfort of all of our students and families.
