Kenallvue Community Newsletter
Summer Edition - August 2023
At Kendallvue, all students are curious, creative, and confident learners!
Welcome back to the 2023-24 school year! There are many reasons why I am looking forward to this new school year. First, I want to welcome all our new families to our wonderful Kendallvlue community. I know some connections were made in the spring. I am sure new, long-lasting connections will be made this fall. I am excited for the new opportunities our students will have for friendships and the joys that come with making new friends. The challenge of moving to a new school is real and I am sure there is plenty of anxiety for kids and adults. But I am also confident the new opportunities that lay in front of us will outweigh those challenges. We are going to be better together!
I hope the summer was a great time with friends and family for all. It was a much needed break for the Lindsey family. However, I am ready to send my kids back to school! Thank you to our new families and our returning families for trusting us with your children. I do believe this is a sacred trust and I appreciate you allowing us to provide the education your student deserves. This year will be full of adventure, wonder, and learning. It's going be an great year!
Our construction is moving along and the building is looking good. Teachers will start setting up their classrooms on August 7th. Please make sure to read through the information in this newsletter, as there is a lot of information here. Especially the information about the new Healthy School Meals For All information. If you have any questions or concerns please do not hesitate to contact the school. Construction has knocked our phone lines out until next week. Email is the best way to connect:

- Amy Stephens - amy.stephens@jeffco.k12.co.us - Enrollment Secretary

We will send out more communication over the next two weeks as the first day of school approaches. There will be more information about morning drop off and afternoon pick up, volunteer opportunities, and more. We will share this information as we finalize some of those plans in the coming days.
Cheers,
Bruce Lindsey

Kindergarten Information
Camp Kindergarten
In an effort to more appropriately group our students in the right class, we are happy to announce our "Camp Kindergarten" experience for the first two days of school.- All students will come to school on the first day (August 15th) and walk in together as one Kindergarten class. All students will be at school for the full day. Parents will pick up at regular release time - 3:05pm
- August 16th, all Kindergarten students will be at school for only the morning time. Parents will need to pick up their students at 11:45am. This is just after their lunch.
- Teachers will use this time with students to get to know them and how they interact with their peers. This will help students ease into the Kindergarten experience. Teachers will use the afternoon of August 16 to roster students into the three classrooms.
- Families will receive communication from their new Kindergarten teacher on Wednesday afternoon.
- All students will come to school on August 17th and be in their new classroom.
