Farewell: Ms. Kirtika Mehta
Life is the greatest journey one can be on. We meet, we travel together, we learn and grow, and then comes a time when we have to part. As Miss Kirtika Mehta is heading towards a new milestone in her life, team Bodhi came together to bid farewell to her. It was a perfect occasion to revive the memories of all the times spent with her. She, with her distinctive personality and responsible behavior, made her own remark. Hope she continues to spread happiness and smiles as she did with her students and colleagues. Bodhi wishes her all the best for her future.
Current Affairs Quiz
“Knowledge is the only kind of wealth that multiplies when you give it away.”
Bodhi International School organized a Current Affairs Quiz for EYP- Grade 5 on January 19, 2022. It was a fun-filled activity for the young minds. The event witnessed enthusiastic preparation and participation.
EYP conducted it as a classroom activity where students were shown different pictures, guessing the sounds, true and false questions, and some multiple-choice questions. In Grades 1-5, it was a Quiz that was done through Quizizz. The format of the quiz entailed around 25 questions.
The students were at their literary best while answering the questions of the quiz. It provided an opportunity for the participants to explore the world of Current Affairs. The time allotted to give the correct answer was twenty seconds. The varied types of questions asked triggered the curious minds and made it a fun and learning event for all. It was a wonderful learning experience for students.
Republic Day Celebration
The day is celebrated in schools with zeal and spirit throughout the length and breadth of the country. It marks the adoption of the constitution of India on January 26, 1950.
Bodhi International School also celebrated Republic Day virtually where Grades 1 & 2 discussed the rich legacy of India (different cultures, languages, dances, festivals, etc.) and reflected on the reasons why they are proud to be an Indian.
Grades 3 & 4 discussed about cultural heritage, diversity and multilingualism.They recalled slogans of leaders.Made tricolor items out of the waste and made tricolor badges.
Children of all grades study about India's political history, freedom fight, and Constitution as part of their education, and like every year, the Republic Day celebration was held with patriotic fervour and zest in Bodhi International School. Although the celebration was held online, the kids' enthusiasm was palpable.
Grade 5 students discovered how the motherland's noble sons struggled for independence and to establish India as an independent state. As a result, the youngsters expressed their views on the dignified freedom fighters and found themselves motivated and actively engage in the Republic Day celebration. Bodhians have always been visionary and bearing the same thought in mind, students engaged themselves in creative and impressive ways to depict Tricolour with the props readily available at home. Students also expressed their gratitude to the freedom fighters for their unforgettable contribution.
Students Corner
We all are the same
Think about that girl child,
Dying before her birth;
Think about that mild smile,
Fading without saying a word;
See how her pleading eyes,
Stare at you unheard;
Your hopes from boys are high,
But hopes with girl’s sigh;
You consider girls as a burden,
Closing their dreams’ curtain;
Why can’t girls get boys like equality,
Why can’t the society remove this cruelty;
Bring justice and parity,
Stop this partiality;
Let the girl live her dreams,
And earn her esteem;
Because we are playing a game,
Where,
We all are the same;
