Happy Thursday Dayton Elementary Families!
Our Dayton Fun Run Fundraiser officially kicked off today, and we are thrilled about this year’s program!
This year, our entire school is raising funds for our PTO to continue providing valuable staff and classroom support. Funds raised will also go toward phase 2 of our playground purchase, fun school-wide events and enriching trimester celebrations. Our goal is to raise $42,000. If you’d like to, we are inviting YOU to help!
Fun Run Fundraising Facts:
✔️ Online donations through mybooster.com are the preferred (and most secure) way to help our school.
✔️ If you must send cash or checks: Please send these in an envelope labeled “Booster Fun Run” along with your student’s name, grade, and teacher’s name. (Checks can be written to Dayton Elementary PTO)
Your student should be bringing home a Fundraising Guide—make sure to check it out to learn more. We can’t do it without you!
Thank you for supporting our school! We can’t wait for the Dayton Fun Run!
Dayton Olympics 2023 - Friday, May 19th
New this year, we’re encouraging all children to follow their regular dismissal procedures at the end of the day. By having students go home their regular way (by bus, or parent pick-up lane), classrooms are able to have a whole class celebration together at the end of the day. By following regular dismissal procedures, we are also able to eliminate some of the long lines, and busyness that can accompany over 700 families trying to safely sign-out their children at once. While we recognize there may be some unique circumstances on this day for your family, we strongly ask that you consider sending your child home their regular way. Thank you for helping us make this a fun and safe day.
~If possible, please avoid picking up students for appointments on this day, as it is difficult to call students into the office from the events.
~Parking will be an issue. Please bike, walk, or carpool if you are able. You may park in the parking lot to the east of the building or use the Central Park Lot (1st gravel driveway just west of the school). NOTE: The Central Lot is used for dismissal, and parked cars need to be moved no later than 3:45 p.m.
Please note, for safety purposes:
