National Letters of Intent Signing
Hey there! If you're not in the know, a National Letter of Intent is a big deal in the world of sports. It's basically a fancy way of saying that an athlete has agreed to play sports for a specific college or university in return for a scholarship.
So, picture this - it's Wednesday, February 7, 2024, and it's a day to remember for our talented athletes from EHS. This was the day when some exceptional senior student-athletes like Owen Kipp, Blake Koenen, and Jack Hansen made it official by signing their National Letters of Intent. These guys are headed to play collegiate athletics at the D-I and D-II levels, representing Eagan HS with pride.
Let's give a huge round of applause to Owen, Blake, and Jack! We couldn't be more thrilled for you and all the hard work you've put in to reach this exciting milestone. Eagan HS is beaming with pride for our future sports superstars!

District 196 receives Federal Education funding through ESSA Title IV and Perkins V grant opportunities. The US Department of Education and the Minnesota Department of Education require that we survey students about their experiences that are subsidized or could be subsidized by these federal grants. This survey specifically asks students about their opportunities for career development courses like those offered by our Family and Consumer Science Department, Technical Education Department, Business Education Departments, Work Based Learning, Mentor Programs, and the District-wide Career Development. We will be surveying high school students in early February. We anticipate this optional survey will take five to ten minutes to complete. No names will be collected on this 14 question survey. Requests for copies of the survey, questions about the survey or requests to opt out can be directed to the District’s State and Federal Programs Specialist, Sara George at Sara.George@district196.org.
