Early School Dismissal on June 11th & the Last Day of School, June 13th!
Dear La Ballona Families,
As the school year comes to a close, a variety of emotions and jitters often surface. Students may feel a surge of excitement about upcoming family trips, experience a sense of relief with the end of schoolwork, or grapple with sadness and uncertainty about whether they will see their friends over the summer. Some may even feel anxious about what the next school year holds. To help ease these emotions, teachers have planned various activities. This is a wonderful opportunity to express gratitude to your child’s teacher and staff for their hard work, support, and dedication throughout the year.
As our 5th graders prepare to transition from La Ballona to Middle School, they have been diligently working towards their promotion. We are thrilled to invite our 5th grade families to join us on Thursday, June 12th at 9:30 am as we celebrate and honor your child's journey at La Ballona! Congratulations, Class of 2025!
Moreover, it is remarkable to witness the growth of our Kindergarten students this school year as they prepare to move up to first grade. What an exciting milestone! We invite you to join our wonderful Kindergarten Teachers on Friday, June 13th at 9 am as they celebrate the achievements your child has made this year.
We wish all our students, families, and staff a restful and rejuvenating break before the next school year. Thank you for your unwavering support throughout the year. For those families who are departing, we appreciate your significant contributions to the La Ballona Community. To our returning families, we look forward to seeing you in the 2025/2026 school year!
With Lion's Pride,
Dr. Becky Godbey, Principal
Ms. Brenda Selva, Assistant Principal
