24-25 Scheduling Information
Scheduling season is underway, and we are excited to start the selection process for your 24-25 SY course requests. Students will have the opportunity to meet with their counselor during their science class the week of February 12th. During the scheduling meeting, your student will confirm teacher recommendations, select alternate elective options, complete applications class requirements, and determine if the waiver process needs to be completed for desired core classes.
To start the process now, students should be engaging in conversations with their current teachers regarding their recommended classes for next year, reviewing the scheduling website to determine their desired elective courses for next year, and making a list of questions that they would like to have addressed during their scheduling meeting with the counselor. Additionally, counselors will be available to discuss requests during all verification periods.
Please be sure to review the scheduling website to become familiar with the 24-25 SY scheduling process.

College Representatives Coming to Riverwood!
On February 28, Riverwood will host our annual Spring College and Career Fair in the Gym from 11:30 AM until 1:45 PM. Check Naviance for upcoming visits from college representatives.
For other visits, once registered, students need to stop by the College/Career Center to obtain a lime green College Visit Pass. This pass must be signed by the teacher or teacher(s) of any class that the student will miss to attend the college information session and should be signed at least 2 school days prior to the scheduled visit. At the time of the event, the green pass will act as a pass for student to be able to leave class and attend the event. If you need assistance with understanding or registering for college visits, please contact Roxie Garber garber@fultonschools.org.
National Honor Society Invitations
The Riverwood National Honor Society will be emailing invitations in early February to students eligible to apply for NHS membership for the 2024-2025 school year. Please remind your students to monitor their student email accounts. Eligible students must have attended Riverwood at least one semester and will be rising 11th and 12th graders with an unweighted cumulative grade average of 92 or higher. The National Honor Society, a prestigious high school service organization with over 16,000 chapters across the United States, is built on the foundation of service, leadership, scholarship, and character. 9th Grade Feedback Requested
Our School Governance Council consists of three committees that aim to enhance the overall student experience at Riverwood. On December 6th, a student survey was sent to all 9th-grade students via text and Fulton County email. We kindly request that you encourage your student to complete this survey. Our committee, which focuses on the 9th-grade experience, is seeking honest and transparent feedback from our current 9th-grade students to make improvements in their second semester and the upcoming school year.

We Need Your Student's Phone Number!
Help us improve school communication to keep your student in the know!
Our school is committed to improving student communication, and we have an exciting plan to achieve this goal. We will be utilizing Fulton County Schools' Blackboard communication system to send real-time text updates about events and activities directly to our Riverwood students. Parents will also receive these updates, which means that everyone will be in the loop. To ensure the success of this initiative, we kindly request parents to update their child's cell phone number in Infinite Campus.
Please update your child's cell phone information in Infinite Campus as soon as possible. With this new system in place, we are confident that our students will be better informed and more connected than ever before.
If you have updated your family's cell phone numbers in Infinite Campus and aren't receiving texts, we can help. Please complete this form to help us troubleshoot for you.
