Student opportunities!
- Prof. Burkhardt is looking for students who want to get their hands on an astronomy, physics, chemistry, and/or programming project! Most levels of experience welcome - email him (aburkhardt@worcester.edu) if you are interested!
- Prof. Reynolds is looking for two-three new research students for Spring 2023 for field and laboratory projects in water quality and coastal fires. Please contact her (lreynolds2@worcester.edu) if you are interested in working with her this spring!

Prof. Robert Kolesnik
Prof. Kolesnik worked many hours over the summer with Kim Lemerise and Jim Zebrowski (of the Aldrich Astronomical Society) cataloging, cleaning, measuring, and repairing items from the Charles Blumsack Telescope Collection. WSU has a memorandum of agreement with the Blumsack family to curate, display and incorporate into the schools’ educational experience the eighteen telescopes and hundreds of items from the collection. In the near future you will be see items on display in the Ghosh ST building and in the classroom. If you would like to know more about the collection contact Bob at rkolesnik@worcester.edu. He is teaching Physics I and II this semester.

Prof. Daniel Vellone
Prof. Vellone has a professional focus on engineering geology and geological engineering, is licensed as a geoscientist in several states, and is nationally-accredited and board certified as a professional geologist. Prof. Vellone is currently a Subject Matter Expert in Geological Engineering for the U.S. Department of Army, Corps of Engineers. He is teaching Physical Geology this semester.
