School is in full swing. Teaching and learning is going on at a high level in our classrooms. Our focus is proficiency. We are really pushing and stretching our students academically. Parents you can support our efforts by encouraging your child to give their best effort daily. You can also extend their learning by asking them to explain to you what they learned.
Today we will have our 1st Local School Governance Team meeting of the 2023-2024 school year . We still have one parent slot to fill on our LSGT. If you are looking for a chance to partner with Moore Street School (MSS) we have the perfect opportunity for you. This is a great way to be directly involved with what is going on at MSS. Parents please remind your son/daughter about our dress code: hoods, tights and slides are NOT permitted.
Our Family Engagement Coordinator has already conducted the Schools PLP Parent Training. Please use this information to track your child's progress. Also be sure to Save The Date: Our next Family Engagement Activity is "Math Night" scheduled for 9/12/23 @5:00 p.m. Please note this is a change from the previously announced date. See flyer posted below.
Our Evening School Program (ESP) is up and running. ESP is great for remediation, enrichment, and attendance recovery. Evening School hours are Monday and Friday Asynchronous (virtual) and Tuesday-Thursday in person from 2:30-6:00. Our attendance recovery plans have been implemented and students are being required to attend our ESP in person session to make up days missed.
Parents, if you haven't returned the student information packets please do so as soon as possible.
