Bonham High School Board Report

BHS students and staff recently completed their MAP Growth testing, revealing significant progress across all academic areas. This positive outcome reflects the dedicated efforts of the school's staff, who have strategically focused on our 3 A's, holding students accountable, combating apathy, and emphasizing the crucial importance of regular and prompt attendance. The commitment to these principles has undoubtedly contributed to the school's success in fostering academic growth mindset and creating an educational environment conducive to learning for our students. We have uploaded this data into our IXL tutorial program and it is now being used to provided laser focused individual tutorials and instruction for our students based on their current levels of understanding of the TEKS tested. The constant vigilance and dedication of our staff and toward these goals were also recently reflected in our December re-testers success!

Recently, Mr. Roberts submitted an impressive total of 35 AWS certifications on behalf of our students. Notably, four of these certifications were earned by seniors who did not previously possess a College, Career, and Military Readiness (CCMR) point, adding significant value to their educational profiles. With this remarkable accomplishment, our current projected CCMR rate has surged to an impressive 94%, setting the stage for projected outcomes bonuses amounting to $65,000. This achievement represents a two-year increase of over 800%.

Miranda Delgado recently completed 1000 hours towards earning her cosmetology license and passed has passed her cosmetology state board written exam. She is set to take her practical exam up next!!!
