IMPORTANT FAMILY SURVEY- YOUTH TRUTH SURVEY- PLEASE COMPLETE
We’d like your feedback – please take the Family Survey
Dear Parent or Guardian,
I am writing to ask for ~15 minutes of your time to complete an online survey that will help us improve your child’s school. We have asked YouthTruth – a nonprofit organization that supports hundreds of schools and districts across the county – to conduct an anonymous survey on our behalf.
Please take the survey before it closes at midnight on DECEMBER 16TH by clicking this link: http://www.ytsurvey.org/ccusdfamily22
Please note:
The survey needs to be completed in one sitting.
We ask that one member of each household fill out the survey.
If you have more than one child who attends the same school, you may respond to the survey multiple times - one time per child.
If you write any comments, please do not include your name or anything else that might identify you. Your responses are anonymous, and they will be combined with the responses of other parents and guardians before being shared back with school and district leadership.
We sincerely thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Your response is incredibly valuable to us.
If you have any questions about the survey, or our plans for how we will use your feedback, please contact Mr. Chabola at caseychabola@ccusd.org
Sincerely,
Mr. Chabola
NEW Rainy Day Dismissal Information
Older siblings of TK and Kinder students will go to Gate #4 for dismissal.
Family members for students in Grades 1st-5th will come to the glass doors.
Please be ready to provide your students name and teacher.
Office staff will send a note to the classrooms for the students to make their way down. We will have one organized line for student name(s) and teachers, and then we ask that families step to the side to wait for their students.
We need to ensure we have a clear path for students to exit.
FAMILY FUN NIGHT- THIS FRIDAY, DECEMBER 2ND

Culver City Education Foundation #GivingTuesday
Every Student. Every School. #GivingTuesday
During this Season of Giving, we need your support to raise critical funding for dynamic arts and STEM learning at our school.
The Culver City Education Foundation (CCEF) is the only organization that raises funds for every student at every CCUSD campus, filling the gap between amounts received from the state and the experience our students deserve. I urge you to support the CCEF Annual Campaign with a gift that is meaningful to you and your family. The community goal is to raise $195,000 by December 31, and we’ve raised just 40% thus far.
Please make a gift to support YOUR SCHOOL NAME students on #GivingTuesday - the global day of giving – Tuesday, November 29th.
Many of the programs that our students enjoy, such as Symphonic Jazz Orchestra workshops, Art & Innovation Lab classes, Story Pirates, Mathletes, and the 5th grade Pali Camp trip, would struggle to continue without your contributions. You can view all of the programs that CCEF funds online.
Together we are ensuring an exceptional education for 7,000+ CCUSD students, and creating opportunities for them to thrive. Thank you!

Reminder Cell Phone/Smart Phone/Smart Watch Policy
Cell Phone/Smart Phone/Smart Watch Policy
Students are discouraged from bringing cell phones or other personal communication devices to school. However, if you wish your child to have a cell phone or smart watch for emergency use after school, cellular capability must be off during the school day. They may not be used for phone calls, recording videos or for internet access. If students do not adhere to this policy, the device will be confiscated and returned only to the parent. Please note that Lin Howe is not responsible for any lost or damaged device. Devices that are used by students during the school day will be taken and returned only to a parent. Repeated offenses will result in disciplinary action.

CCUSD Sponsor-a-Family December Holiday Program
CCUSD Sponsor-a-Family December Holiday Program-
CCUSD recognizes that the holiday season can be stressful for families who are most in need. Again this year, CCUSD School and Family Support Services is coordinating various district-wide efforts to support our CCUSD families in need during the holiday season to increase the joy and lessen the stress.
At this time, we are excited to announce our Annual Sponsor-a-Family Program. The program will enable families to provide gifts for a CCUSD family in need. Both families will remain anonymous. Prior to the Thanksgiving break, sponsor families will receive the list of wishes and needs for each member of one family. Our request is that the sponsor family purchase at least one wish and one need for each member listed. All gifts will be dropped off at iAcademy (located between Farragut and Culver City Middle School) on December 7 and 8. School and Family Support Services staff will distribute the gifts on December 13 and 14. If you are able to make the holiday season special for another family, please click on the link below and complete the form.
