HS Accelerated Instruction Program
Summer 2024
PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
High School Accelerated Instruction is a supplemental program for students identified as at-risk according to the state’s criteria, who have failed an EOC exam. The course is designed to strengthen skills and knowledge of the five (5) EOC tested courses. Eighth grade students who failed the Algebra I EOC are eligible to attend the AI high school program where they will enroll for the following school year. The accelerated curriculum is based on individual student prior performance on the EOC test disaggregated by performance standards. Additionally, each course uses unit pre-tests to target instruction considered necessary for greater success.
