Dear Families,

I wanted to inform that we have changed the Back to School Night date due to a conflict with the next Presidential Debate on the 15th. The new date will be Tuesday October 13th.

Informational sessions in areas such as athletics and Class of 2021 will be available from 5:00 - 6:00.

Meetings with teachers will take place by period from 6:00 to 8:00.

Teachers will provide the following information about their classes: Review of Syllabus, strategies for success, pathway for students to get back on track, ways that parents can support their student's success.

This will not be an opportunity to have individual discussions about your students.

Please reach out to the teacher as soon as possible if you'd like to have an individual discussion about the progress of your student.

This date was selected in combination with a special make-up day on October 14th in which students will be given the opportunity to turn in late work, redo assignments, or catch up with studying. Teachers, with the exception of AP teachers, will take attendance through Google Classroom; however, we will limit the amount of synchronous time on this one day, so students can focus more intently on their work that has already been assigned.

I hope the information that we've been providing has proved to be informative and useful. Please be on the lookout for survey questions that will be sent out to parents. We will also be sending survey questions to students. We will use the information as a temperature check to make sure we are able to respond to ongoing needs and assess the degree to which we are presently meeting the needs of our families.
