Dear Families,

Thank you for a great first two days of school! We wish the weather had cooperated on Thursday but regardless it was exciting to welcome our owls back to the nest. Thank you for your patience as we reteach our morning line up locations and expectations to our students.

Just a few friendly reminders from our FAQ's document we shared in our Welcome Letter.

Pets are not allowed on school property. If you walk with your pet please stand in the grassy area between the sidewalk and Olive Street.
All drivers need to remain in their vehicles in the drop off/pick up zone. If your child needs assistance getting in/out or with car seats/booster seats, please park in our lot or in the Orchard Church parking lot.
If you arrive after 9:05, adults must walk students to the door to sign them in.
Please limit items that are dropped off during the school day. Our office only makes 1 phone call to the classroom before the lunch hour for items forgotten at home. We will not call a classroom and interrupt instruction for snack drop offs, water bottle drop offs, etc. IF you have to drop off an item, band instrument, forgotten lunch, please make sure that it is labeled with your child's name and teacher before bringing it to the office. Students will be able to pick them up before the lunch hour.
Early Dismissal or Change in End of Day Plans -- please send a handwritten note for the teacher on the day of the change (i.e. not taking the bus, don't go to CAP, grandma is picking up). Even if the teacher is already aware of the change, it's a very helpful reminder for them. Also, if the teacher is unexpectedly absent, the sub would know of your child's plans.
If you have a change in plans and your child is already at school, please call the main office at 847-398-4282 to speak with Mrs. Tucker or Mrs. Crimmins and they will let the teacher know. Please note that calls will be made to the classrooms at 3:00pm.
