Hello Allendale-Fairfax School District Community,

I hope you had a restful and enjoyable Fall Break. Welcome to the new quarter. As we return to our classrooms and offices to begin another chapter in our academic journey, let's focus on setting goals, striving for excellence and making the most of the opportunities ahead. We have much to celebrate as A-F Elementary School improved their Report Card rating from Below Average to Average. We are so proud of Principal Leath, the staff, students and parents for achieving such an outstanding accomplishment. Let's embrace the new season with renewed energy and commitment to our shared educational goals. Together we can make the upcoming months a tremendous period of growth and learning. As a reminder we have Early Release/Parent Conference Day on October 19, 2023. All staff will be provided with a light lunch on this day to support your well being as you work with our parental community.

Sheila Leath, principal of Allendale-Fairfax Elementary School, has been chosen by Dr. Cave to be the staff of the week. Mrs. Leath earned this honor because she is a phenomenal leader with effective management and instructional leadership. She led her team from below average to average on the South Carolina State Report Card. Congratulations to Mrs. Leath and her team! You deserve this and more.

Allendale County Schools wants to acknowledge Breast Cancer Awareness month. We want to honor anyone who has been affected by breast cancer or has a loved one who has been affected. Regardless of your status; in remission, still fighting, or at risk, it is important to spread awareness about the disease. #togetherwecandothis

Led by Darnell Elias, the tigers played a fierce game Friday night.

Our Middle School Football Team is continuing their winning streak first beating Woodland 30-0 and then Estill 22-0.

State Superintendent Ellen Weaver paid a us visit on Tuesday. While here, she toured schools, visited a classroom, held a meet and greet, and attended our board/community meeting. We are so grateful for her presence and support in our district!
