Book Fair Next Week!
The Coleman Scholastic Book Fair online shop is now live and the in-person event begins in the media center on Monday, December 7th through Friday, December 11th. Proceeds from both the online fair and in person fair will benefit the Coleman library with the purchase of new books, paying for author visits and other programs in the media center. In order to have as little contact as possible during the in-person book fair we suggest setting up an eWallet account for your student to shop the fair. We will also be taking Credit Cards and cash at the in-person fair.

We have also created a Holiday Book Gift guide for middle school students. The books included in this guide are available on the Scholastic online shop and some will be available at the in-person fair.

The 2021 Coleman Reads One Book One School book is New Kid by Jerry Craft.
Our goal is to have our school community, students, parents, teachers and other community members reading the same book. We want people to be talking about the book in the classrooms, at the PTA meetings and at the grocery store. we want our whole community to be excited about reading!
The Coleman Library Media Center will be having contests and events pertaining to the book from January 7th—February 12th 2021 and the book will be available for purchase both online and at the in person Coleman Scholastic Book Fair.

Parent Volunteers Needed for 7th Grade PBL Project
Our 7th graders are working on PBL projects that include redesigning our hydroponic greenhouse. In order to implement their ideas, we need to install new flooring in the greenhouse. The floor is currently sections of concrete patio that are not level. We need help getting the floor level and stable enough to hold thousands of pounds of weight. If you have any expertise in this area, please contact Kelli Sinclair (kelli.sinclair@gcpsk12.org) or Sheila Harmony (sheila.harmony@gcpsk12.org). We need recommendations for building materials and volunteers to help install the new flooring.
