Principal's Message
Dear Families,
Below I have included our staff photo where we are celebrating being a Top Notch school. We have embraced this mantra as a way to recognize our relentless pursuit of excellence. Our combined success has not, and will not, be a result of luck. We believe in the work we do, students we serve and community we give back to. We know TPS is where the best of the best come to work, learn and care together!
Here are a few of our Top Notch Student Achievement Celebrations for the 21-22 school year:
- Met/exceeded 7 out of 9 student achievement data points measured by FCPS
- Exceeded FCPS performance for overall reading growth in all grade levels (DIBELS Composite Score)
- Exceeded FCPS performance for grade level specific reading growth (DIBELS individual subtest scores)
- #1 reading growth in Kindergarten and First Grade of all FCPS schools
- Exceeded FCPS performance on overall iReady growth
- 84% of kindergarten students scored proficient on the end of year benchmark assessment
- 80% of 1st grade students and 65% of second grade students met their individual typical growth target on iReady
We know this Top Notch growth during an unprecedented time in education is a result of our combined efforts and your unwavering support. We are grateful you share our pride, dedication and commitment to this special school community.
I invite you to take a moment and share something you are most proud of as it relates to your child(ren) and/or our school using the form linked below.
Yours in education,
Michele Baisey
