Mrs Tash Allerby has been elected Board Chairperson. We are delighted to have Tash leading the Governance team for IPS. Tash has strong experience in Human Resources, Leadership, Policy and Health and Safety areas. Tash is delighted to have the opportunity to lead the Board and has plans to utilize the strengths of each of the members to continue to strengthen and enhance the education of all members of Inglewood Primary.
Thursday Tash Allerby, Ray Smillie and Paul Edwards together with myself attended a property meeting with the MoE Property Team , Project Manager and Architects. The team discussed many projects which are being developed.
The main project is planning for an accommodating our ever increasing roll. Over the non-contact time, our water leak will be remedied, and our hall will be upgraded.
We are moving Mrs Michalea Krook and Mrs Stephanie Boyd's classes into the hall for the remainder of the year as we need to spread ourJunior classes out to accommodate our ever increasing role. Mrs Mel Zimmerman's class will move to Room 1 and Mrs Libby O'Connor will move into Room 2. These classes will have the shared space between the two classes and will still collaborate.
Mr Adams and Mrs Smith will move into the bigger space of Moa iti and we will make a plan for that space to be utilized for the benefit of all the New Entrants.
Plans are nearly finalised for the new six classes which are going to be built after the demolition of the older four classes which were known as C Block - ( Hinuera Stone ) and the back two classes (old rms 12 & 13. The toilet block will remain.
We are gaining a cover (archgola) type cover over the space by the carpark/hall entrance, which will be fabulous in the wet weather.
Puke Haupapa will get the verandah covered.
The toilets opposite Moa iti are being upgraded also.
