SCHOOL BEGINS NEXT WEEK! WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 31!!!
Student Schedules
Eagan High School student schedules will be available in Infinite Campus at 3 PM on Friday, August 26th. These schedules are tentative and may be subject to change as we continue to balance classes. If a student does not have a schedule that means that they should have an appointment to register for classes next week.
Schedule corrections will be considered for the following reasons only:
Clerical Error (no class during specific period, duplicate classes, etc.)
Failed a prerequisite class
Senior class required for graduation
Special Education need
Inappropriate level (drop from honors to regular)
Drop an elective for a study hall.
If your student is considering dropping a band or choir course, they must contact Mr. Pearson (band) or Mr. Cox (choir) before being approved for that change. We highly recommend that students stay in these courses as the directors have plans to provide for an amazing year for your students.
If your student meets one of these criteria, please click the link below by August 31 and it will link the schedule correction request form.

Student Parking Permits
Parking Permits for Fall Trimester - the permits sold out Monday August 22nd at 7:25 PM. Permits will be distributed starting at 7 AM on Wednesday, August 31st in the East Entry. Remember all items must be returned, fines and fees taken care of in order to receive the permit for the vehicle.
At that time, beginning at 7 AM on August 31st, junior and senior students who did not purchase a permit may sign onto a "Wait List". This list will be in person sign up only.
If students who purchased a permit decide to ask for a refund (i.e. they decide to car pool with other students) then we use the "Wait List" to sell additional permits. This usually is after the first full week of school when all permits have been distributed or refunded.
EHS has a free parking lot at the tennis court area that is open for any student to park. It is about a 3- 4 minute walk into the school building using sidewalks that are lighted and maintained.

School Supplies
What to Purchase?
We do not have a ‘list’ of required supplies for our high school students. We do recommend that students “stock up” at back-to-school sales on the following items:
- Spiral notebooks, college ruled, one subject
- Scientific calculator for Math
- Ballpoint pens, black & red
- Protractor and compass for Geometry students
- #2 Pencils or mechanical pencils
- Pocket folders. (Many students choose to match colors of notebook & folder to a specific class)
- A stylus for use with the iPad
- External battery for charging iPad as needed during the day.
- A combination padlock if the student is using locker room storage lockers for class or sports.
Please know that we have a large supply of needed supplies in our Counseling Office. Students are welcome to stop in for these supplies!

The Academy for Freshmen new to the district will be held from 1:30-2:30 PM on Monday, August 29th in the EHS Library. Please plan to drop your student off at the EHS South Entrance, and we will guide them from there. Please note this is not a session for students who completed their 8th grade year in ISD 196.
The Academy for Sophomore-Senior students new to the district will be part of an entire morning of activities on Wednesday, August 31st for all of our new students in grades 10-12. Students in this group will report directly to the library at 7:40 AM.

All proceeds will go to the Unified movement at Eagan High School. What is the “EHS Unified” and what will the raised money go towards? EHS has a large number of students and staff that are a part of a group called “Unified”. The Unified group has a purposeful plan to promote meaningful social inclusion by bringing together students with and without disabilities to create accepting school environments. At EHS, we have done this through shared activities, courses, sports and activities. We currently have a Unified Physical Education class, have participated in Unified bocce ball, basketball (21/22 Section B State Champions), bowling and soccer tournaments, created awareness and participated in school wide recognition of Unity Day, and the “Kindness Matters” and “Spread the Word” campaigns . These events can be costly and the money fundraised will go towards tournament participation and inclusive activities planned for all EHS students throughout the 22/23 school year.

Back-to-school immunization clinics available for students
District 196 has partnered with Homeland Health to offer free back-to-school immunization clinics for students beginning August 24. Participation in these clinics is voluntary, with the purpose to bring students up-to-date with their immunizations. The clinics are funded through COVID-19 relief funding.
To enroll in child care, early childhood programs and school in Minnesota, parents or guardians must show that their child has received the required immunizations for their age or file a legal exemption. Parents may file a medical exemption signed by a health care provider or a conscientious objection signed by a parent or guardian and notarized. This information must be on file with the school nurse before the first day of school.
All required school vaccinations and the COVID-19 vaccination will be available at these events. No appointments are necessary. For more information about immunizations, visit the Health Services webpage, District196.org/services/health-services/immunizations.

Parents must decide on optional iPad Protection Plan
After waiving the fee the last two years, District 196 is once again offering an optional iPad Protection Plan for the 2022-23 school year to help protect against unexpected costs for accidental damage to, or loss of a district-issued iPad. Prior to 2020-21 and again this upcoming school year, families may opt into the protection plan for $20 per iPad for the entire school year. There is a reduced fee for students eligible for the Educational Benefits Program, so it is recommended that parents and guardians complete that application first. Go tohttps://www.district196.org and select Services/Food and Nutrition Services.
All families are asked to accept or decline the optional iPad Protection Plan by Monday, September 19, at which time a non-response will be considered declining the offer. To make their choice, parents and guardians log into their MyPaymentsPlus account, do a search for “iPad” and select one of only two options presented: to accept the protection plan or to decline it. Both options include the Student User Agreement for review and acknowledgement. For directions on using MyPaymentsPlus or creating an account, go to https://www.district196.org and select Community/Family Resources. For assistance, families should contact their child’s school.
District 196 Food & Nutrition Information - renew Educational Benefits for 22-23. Free lunches and breakfasts ended for the 2022-2023 school year.
