It is hard to believe that we are halfway through the school year. With that being said, there is a lot more learning to do and fun to be had! February is a busy month. We will highlight some key things happening, but please look at the February calendar for all upcoming events. This is always a busy month filled with fun activities for students. February kicks off our kindness bingo and the grade 6 & 7 tryouts for our musical. Please note that Ash Wednesday is on Feb. 14th, therefore we will be having our Valentine’s celebrations and our Red, White and Pink day on Tuesday, February 13th. We are also looking forward to our Grades 4-7 Health Fair that day. Finally, the week of February 19-23 is a break from school. We hope you get the opportunity to enjoy time with your family. May God bless you this month and show you his love in many ways.
Yours in Christ,
Mrs. Combres & Mrs. Weber

Also please send forks and spoons with your child if they require one for their lunch as we do not supply those to students.Thank you.

FAITH COMMITTEE
Our Saint for February is St. Paul Miki. He was a missionary who helped spread the word of Christianity in Japan. He was martyred for his work in doing this. He inspires us to ask Christ to help us to be happy.
The School service project will be a Gum Day on February 9th. For $1 students can bring gum and chew it in class. The money raised will be given to the Boys and Girls Club which many of our students use after school and during school breaks. For our bulletin board, students will write their name on a heart, showing us that God pours his love on us! Ash Wednesday is February 14th, and the start of Lent. We will be doing various activities in February and in March to prepare our hearts during Lent.
