• This week at Munhall I noticed students demonstrating their math skills through the use of a variety strategies, it was amazing to see!
• Munhall would like to remind the parents that students are not allowed to use smart watches during class and it is against school policy. Any child that needs to be picked early from school must go through the proper channel and protocols. The protocols are to keep your child safe and provide any necessary help and resources needed for the students .
• Please read the following letter regarding Halloween at Munhall this year. Halloween 2023 - Munhall. To highlight: There will be an option of costumes, a parade (weather permitting) and no food. This is the same as last year.
• 3rd & 5th grade families: Please read the letter regarding CogAT. There will also be more information in the future. CogAT Letter - Fall 2023.
• Our K - 2 students did an AMAZING job during the fire prevention assembly with the St. Charles fire department.
• The Fall fest is still looking for volunteers. Munhall welcomes middle and high school students to volunteer for fall fest as well. Please see the sign up genius below.
• Our Big Hearts Toy Drive is in FULL SWING. The theme for this week is: FILL THE BOX WITH SOFTIES. Some examples may be: fleece blankets, squish mellows, stuffed animals anything soft and fuzzy.

Adilynn Aguirre in 1-Wallen. Adilynn has helped her peers smile when having a bad day. She has helped a teacher with sharpening pencils and she has just gone above and beyond demonstrating the mustang way!!!

October 22 is Bus Driver Appreciation day!

If your student is a bus rider please consider a kind gesture to your bus driver for getting your student to and from school.

At this time the prepaid ordering is closed for Munhall Elementary School. As the prepaid picture package orders have been entered and are currently in the printing process. Unfortunately, once the the printing process begins, additional orders can not be added.

Please let the parent(s) know; When the prepaid picture packages are delivered to the school (approximately 3½ - 4 weeks after picture day), their student(s) will receive a '2nd Chance' card that will have the following information printed on it:

• A preview of their picture
• Their unique ticket code
• The website you will visit to place an order (https://orders.colorportraits.com/login.php)

The ticket code(s) will give you access to view and order your child(ren)'s pictures online by visiting the website listed above.

ELECTRONIC DEVICES IN SCHOOL

Phones/Smart Watches

From 22-23 Elementary Handbook: Students are extended the privilege of possessing phones/ smartwatches on school grounds; however, their use is limited to after-school dismissal and non-school days. These devices must be in the off position, or not used once the student arrives on campus until the end of the school day.

Our "Fall Collection" will be on display in the office until 11-15-23.
