Last Week of Fall Schedule-Exams
Information about the Last Week of the Fall Semester
Here is some helpful information about the final week of the fall semester. Face-to-face middle school students will be released at 1:20 p.m. Thursday, December 17, and Friday, December 18. Bus routes will run at the early release times. Lunches will be served to face-to-face students on both early release days. The District will continue to offer “Grab and Go” lunches for online students. Online students’ school day will end at 12:15 p.m. on the two early release days.
Semester Exam Information for Middle School Students Enrolled in High School Credit Courses
Due to the many teacher and student schedule changes in the transition from Term 1 to Term 2, semester exams for middle school students will only contain content that was taught in Term 2. Note, only students currently enrolled in high school level courses will take semester exams.
All final exams, online and face-to-face, will be one hour in length. Face-to-face classes with 90 minutes allotted will spend the first 30 minutes reviewing or providing study time before beginning the exam.

RTMS Honors Band
Recently, the RTMS Honors Band students competed against 300 other band students from across FBISD in the rigorous TMEA All-Region Band Contest! We are proud to announce that we had 13 students make the Prestigious All-Region Band! This is the most in school history – surpassing last year’s record of 12 students. Some of these students are online learners and still learned the incredibly challenging music, submitted recordings and made the Region Band!

Basketball Tryouts-Boys
Boys Basketball Tryouts are Dec 14th-16.
7 am-8:30: 7th Grade
4:20-6:00 pm: 8th Grade
Physicals with a doctors office stamp and signatures must be turned into Coach Dobbins by December 11th to tryout along with rank one paper work completed.
You must be present all days of tryouts to be considered for a team.

Description: In an effort to continue exercising our safety protocols, this year the 8th grade Career Exploration will occur over 2 days, January 14th & 15th. The event will bring guest speakers via TEAMS to our students. The summit will feature a keynote speaker, junior achievement activities, college tours, and guest speakers. Students will be in assigned locations and speakers will be projected into our RTMS classrooms. This event will occur on campus. Online students may RSVP for the event beginning January 7th- 12th. We look forward to continuing the tradition of offering 8th grade career day.
Two thunder claps to our RTMS PTO for sponsoring this event with securing our keynote speaker and guest speakers.
