LMA Heading to States for FBLA!
Students Matthew Hsieh (11th grade), Artin Rastegar (10th Grade) and Marie Salonga (11th grade) participated in the FBLA Section State Leadership Conference. Marie Salonga competed in broadcast journalism and placed 4th for her competition. Matthew Hsieh and Artin Rastegar partnered up to win second place in the sales presentation competition, moving onto states with their qualification. We’re very proud of the accomplishments of our FBLA program and hope that we can continue this trend in the state competition and in the future.
Isabella Castillo (Bella)
Hi! My name is Isabella Castillo, and I'm a current senior here at Legacy. I love being at the beach, hiking, or overall being outside. I'm a current cadet for Orange County Fire Authority and absolutely love everything about it. I'm going in for the 2 years of community college at Santa Ana College and then transferring out to a UC after that, I plan on taking an EMT course over the summer and then going into the path of being a paramedic. After my two years at SAC, my dream college would be to transfer out to UCLA and continue my education within the field I'm pursuing there. I plan to focus on going into the medical field as I've always been drawn to the whole concept of giving and helping your community health-wise. Of course with that, the amount of student debt sounds fun with it as well. Legacy's always been about having a growth mindset and having that attitude instilled in me since the start has really opened up how I've grown academically and personally. I can say that I feel confident and all, I want but what really determines it in the long run is how much effort I put into my future. The amount of effort is going to be how much of a result I see and where I stand with my goals in the future. In 10 years I hope to be doing what I love with the people that I love around me. Giving back to the community and enjoying quality time with loved ones, all with paid-off student loans.
Giovanni Demuro (Gio)
I’m Giovanni Demuro and I’m a senior at Legacy Magnet Academy. I like doing activities that include a large body of water, legos, and hanging out with friends participating in shenanigans as well as blasting 2010 music. I’m literally Batman. After high school I plan on finally getting my license, becoming a lifeguard at Laguna, while attending college, and living life to the fullest without getting in too much trouble. I’m interested in becoming an actor or a social figure later in life. My dream college would be UCI but first I’ll be attending IVC/Cypress just to figure out a concrete plan for my life along with a stable job. From Legacy, I hope to carry on my refined social skills. I’m already very social but with Legacy and all the presentations I had to do, I think I'll be able to propel myself in any industry I end up joining. In terms of my future, I’m feeling hilariously ridiculous but I'll manage somehow. But picturing myself 10 years into the future, I’ll either be a lawfully chaotic social figure (just like Danny Devito or Steve-O) or I'll be living a thrilling life by the sea as a lifeguard. In either scenario, I’ll have enough money to live a comfortable life with the ones I love.
