Principal's Thanksgiving Edition
A Message from Dr. Nadjarian
On behalf of the St. Mary's faculty and staff, we would like to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving!
We are so grateful for our students and families! Thank you to Mrs. Simovic for coordinating the Faculty and Staff Pie Drive, and thank you to all families who contributed. The students were thrilled to see their teachers being rewarded with a special treat! The spirit of giving continued throughout the school this week with donations from Table Talk Pies and Eddy Sousa's bakery, and we cannot forget our wonderful parent volunteers, and middle school students who supported our Thanksgiving Food Drive. Our parent volunteers did such an excellent job helping us prepare for our Thanksgiving celebrations and they even got a head start in helping us with our Christmas preparations! In closing, we have so much to be thankful for and the spirit of giving will continue as we prepare for the Advent Season! God bless you.

A Message from our Director of Advancement, Dan Griffin
A Message from our Librarian, Ms. Broley
Hello to All,
The holiday season is racing towards us, so it must be time for our annual Book Fair!
The scholastic Book Fair will be open the 5th , 6th and 7th of December (M, T, W) with our Family Night happening on the afternoon of the 5th , right after the Tree Lighting! We could not hold this event without you! Attached is a link to sign up for setup, cleanup, and working at the actual fair (helping children make difficult decisions and checking them out). I know that parents
would most like to work the fair when their child’s class is attending. Over the next week, the teachers whose students do not attend Library during the Book Fair days (1C, 2nd , 3rd , 6th ,7th and 8th ) will sign up for a time to bring their class. If you would like to volunteer during the time your child’s class visits keep an eye out for the teachers to sign up. Otherwise, students will attend with Ms. B during their regular Library class time - which is already noted on the sign up.
Our Book Fair homepage, full of instructions and links to the scholastic catalog, as well as a link to the volunteer signup is https://www.scholastic.com/bf/stmaryoftheassumptionsch1
Pk and K1 will not visit during their regular class time, but if their teachers may chose to take them during the day, or they can attend with a parent before or after school or during Family Night.
Happy reading!

Thanksgiving Liturgy of the Word and Cider and Pie Dismissal
The St. Mary's community celebrated with a special Liturgy of the Word service where each grade gave thanks for different gifts in their lives and then Fr. Bobby blessed loaves of bread for each student to take home and enjoy with their family. At the end of the school day, we enjoyed a pie and cider party at dismissal! Thank you too our parent volunteers for preparing the cider and pies.
Also, thank you to Table Talk Pies for donating 250 individual delicious pies. It was a delicious treat for our students!
