Superintendent's Message
Loveland Tiger Families,
As we move into fall, I want to remind you how we’ll communicate school closures or delays.
If school is canceled or delayed because of bad weather, we’ll let you know with a phone call, text message, and email. We will also post school cancellations and delays on our district website, Facebook, and Twitter accounts.
Messages will come from our District Office phone number - 513-683-5600. Please save that number in your phone as “Loveland City Schools” so you recognize it.
We will send messages to the phone numbers and email addresses you put into Final Forms at the start of the school year. If your contact information has changed, please update it through Final Forms so we can reach you.
If you have any questions, please let me know at broadwmi@lovelandschools.org.
Go Tigers!

Celebrating Exploration Wednesday at Loveland High School
Loveland High School students spent Exploration Wednesday taking important steps to prepare for the future. On Exploration Wednesday, Loveland High School pauses regular instruction to give students a chance to explore college and career options.
Students in Grade 9 take early steps in their career exploration by spending the day at work with a family member or friend. We call it “Freshman Career Connect: A Day In Their Shoes.” It’s an opportunity for students to learn more about the world of work and careers that might interest them.
Students in Grades 10 and 11 use Exploration Wednesday to complete college and career assessments. The Practice ACT and PSAT are helpful for college admissions, while the ASVAB helps identify potential military careers, and the WorkKeys assessment measures job skills needed in the workforce.
Seniors have more options for exploration. They can spend the day job shadowing in fields they’re considering after graduation. Local businesses partner with Loveland High School to provide these real-world opportunities and help students decide about college majors or career training. Seniors can also use the day to visit a college or trade school, meet with military recruiters, or participate in volunteer opportunities.
Exploration Wednesday is a big part of our #beLOVEland Strategic Vision goal of creating career-ready, lifelong learners. Loveland City School District sets aside an entire day to help students explore the many pathways of success through enlistment, enrollment, or employment. Thank you to the businesses and organizations who partnered with us to provide students with fantastic opportunities!
Reminders
Showcase Night at LHS on October 25
Join us for Showcase Night - our district-wide open house to showcase all the great work happening in Loveland City Schools. Get a look inside the classroom, discover great programs for students, see amazing performances, and get involved! Academics, athletics, arts, extracurriculars, and more will be on display during Showcase Night at Loveland High School on Wednesday, October 25, at 6:30 p.m. Thank you to the students and staff members who will be presenting!
Transportation Challenges Continue
There is an urgent need for bus drivers for our district. Without additional drivers, we may be forced to skip some routes on some days because we are critically short-staffed. We are working to avoid this, but please create a backup plan for how your family would handle transportation in the event we are forced to limit bus service due to the driver shortage.
Loveland bus drivers receive paid training, health insurance, and retirement benefits. Follow this link to apply online, or call our Transportation Department at 513-683-3103. Please spread the word to your friends and neighbors about this great opportunity to help our Loveland City School District community.
