TECHNOLOGY COLLECTION FEES
PARENTS: WE NEED YOUR HELP! 💻
Rock Hill Schools is committed to providing your child with the best learning experience possible. To do that, we provide top-tier technology for just a one-time annual fee of $20.
✅ This fee ensures your child has full access to all instructional materials needed for success.
✅ We keep this fee LOW to make technology accessible to ALL families.
🚨 Right now, only 40% of parents have paid. These fees are critical to repairing and maintaining 16,000 student laptops, covering accidental damage, wear and tear, and necessary repairs. Without these funds, we risk higher costs and less support for students. Paying this small fee keeps our technology program running without raising costs. Let’s keep it at just $20!
💰 Act today! Pay your fee and ensure your child stays connected to learning.
👉 You can pay directly at your child’s school or online now.
📅 Deadline: 5/23/25
Thank you for supporting your child’s education!
If you have questions, please reach out to Lisa Sagona or Sabella Greeley at the District level

MATH TEXTBOOK ADOPTION
Math Textbook Adoption – We Value Your Feedback!
We are in the process of selecting a new math textbook for our students through the state adoption process. As part of this process, we invite you to review the proposed materials, which are available in the school’s lobby. Your feedback is important to us! Please take a moment to scan the QR code in the attachment provided to share your thoughts. Your input will help us make the best decision for our students. Thank you for your support!
1st GRADE PJ PARTY: A MINI-MUSICAL
MARCH ATTENDANCE MADNESS!
Pirates,
We are challenging YOU to a March Madness Attendance Challenge.
We have drawn up the bracket and everyone has a chance for the big prize at the end. The bracket was chosen at random using a number generator. We will have the bracket on the bulletin board outside of the gym. We will have a single elimination tournament. We are not going to give you the exact days of each round as we would love for your students to think about being to school on time each day. The tournament Champion will be decided by the week of April 4th.
Rules: You will compete against another class in the school to see who has the highest percentage of students present on the day of the round by 7:45. If students are TARDY we will count them as absent for that round. Remember we want to be to school on time each day. If there is a tie, we will look at the previous day's numbers and if we need to go back additional days, we will do so. If your class loses you are out. If you win your class will get a sweet treat.
Rounds are as follows:
Round One- Week of March 17-21st... winners will receive Smarties/Sweet Tarts.
Sweet Sixteen - Week of March 22-24... winners will receive a sucker.
Elite 8 - Week of March 26-31... winners will receive a popsicle.
Final Four - Week of April 1-3... winners will receive a cupcake snack.
Championship Round - Week of April 4-8... winners will receive a Pizza Party!
Who will win our March ATTENDANCE Madness challenge?!

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL INFORMATION
Doors Open and Breakfast:
Our doors open at 7 am and the Tardy Bell rings at 7:45 am.
Breakfast is served everyday starting at 7:00 am.
There will be plenty of staff on hand to help your child get to class.
Kindergarten parents, remember we are operating on a staggered start. Monday and Tuesday are for B group students only. All K students will attend starting Wednesday, August 14th.
For Arrival:
If your student rides the bus, please check the myRide app to know when the bus will be at your bus stop.
If you are dropping your student off by car, please use the right lane only. We will have staff and safety patrol students opening doors and helping your student out of the car with umbrellas in their hands. If you would like to walk your child in on the first day, please use the left lane and pull into our parking lot.
For Dismissal:
We dismiss at 2:10 pm.
If your student rides the bus, please check the myRide app for bus stop information.
For car riders, we will use both lanes. Please make sure the car rider tag is displayed in your windshield. A staff member will be calling names and we will deliver your child to your car. If your child needs to enter the car on the right hand side, please pull in the right lane. If your child needs to enter your car on the left side, please pull into the left lane. Please do not start parking in the left lane until 2:00 pm. This allows for flow of traffic in case of emergencies.
This first few days day will take some time to teach our new students the procedures and to make sure all students have been accounted for. We appreciate your patience.
