BRING YOUR FAMILY TO PE WEEK
We are excited to share with you that our school will be participating in Family PE Week from October 7-15, 2024.
Daily physical activity has many benefits for kids, such as increasing their energy, focus, and readiness to learn, reducing stress and anxiety. Of course, physical activity has benefits for people of all ages, so helping our students’ families be active together is one of our physical education goals.
The national sponsor of this event, Active Schools, hopes that you will share your experience on social media in words and photos – using the hashtag #FamiliesLovePE #indiahookelementary
Your influence as a caregiver is important for the support of physical education in our schools. Below you will find the schedule for the week. We hope you will join us for one or even both PE classes during October 7-15. We know you will have a great time and we would all love to have you join us and see exactly what an elementary PE class is like these days!
Sincerely,
Karen Roof and Andy Morton

MORNING ANNOUNCEMENT CREWS
We are so proud of our Pirate Morning Announcements Crew from the last two weeks!
As part of the Leader in Me framework, our students take on leadership roles within the classroom and school. Our crew greets our pirates, leads the pledge of allegiance, reminds everyone of our CREW mentality, provide the lunch menu, and a Leader in Me thoughtful moment.
