Two Mile Tidbits

Fall Parties are on Tuesday!

-Your child's classroom teacher will share classroom-specific details about class parties (treats, snacks, crafts, etc).

-Our costume parade will take place on our track (in the field behind the playground) at 1:45pm! Family and friends are invited to join us by the track to take pictures!

-Class parties will take place from 2:00-2:30pm.

-Costumes should not be worn to school. Please send the costume to school in a bag and ensure that it is something your child can put on over his/her clothes without assistance. If your child has an extravagant costume, please only send the outfit (no additional props). Please no scary/violent costumes or full face masks. Thank you for your understanding!

-Parents/guardians should plan on parking and going directly to the track and not in the building first.

Reminders:

-On Thursday, November 9th at 9am we will have a special Veteran’s Day assembly. Students are encouraged to invite special Veterans that they know to the assembly. Please email Mrs. Ruyle if you have a special guest that will attend! We will also have our Hero Wall again this year on the bulletin board in the main hallway. Please send in copies of pictures of family members who have served in the military with their name and the branch of the military they served in. On November 9th, please encourage your child to wear red, white, and blue in support of our special guests and all the veterans who have served our country.

-Teachers will be using Infinite Campus for the first time to enter grades for the first trimester. Please know that anything you see in Infinite Campus isn't official until the paper progress report is sent home on Friday, November 3rd.

-Parent-Teacher Conferences will take place November 6th-9th.

November 6th-9th: Parent-Teacher Conference Week

November 10th: No school

November 22nd-24th: Thanksgiving Break

November 30th: PTA Pancake Dinner...more info to come!

December 19th: Picture retake day

December 20th: Winter Parties at 2pm.

December 21st-January 2nd: Winter Break

January 3rd: Back to school

January 12th: PTA family dance...more info to come

January 15th: No school

January 17th: PTA meeting at 5:30

February 16th: No school

February 26th-Febraury 29th: Conference Week

March 1st: No school

March 20th: No school

March 25-29th: Spring Break

Your child will not be allowed to attend any field trips without the form returned with all sections completed. IF you need a new form, please let the main office know.

As a reminder:

All CPS schools (K-12) now require new field trip forms to be on file. There are a few things TMP families need to know:

-There is a lengthy permission slip in your child's Friday Folder that needs to be completed and returned.

-Your child will not be eligible to attend any of our fun field trips without this form on file.

-There will also be grade level/field trip specific forms sent home in addition for every field trip your child attends. Yes, you will fill you multiple permission slips this year. :)
